Ryan and Stuckey, despite their varied professional backgrounds, unite in their passion for mountain biking along the scenic trails of the Bend region and snowboarding on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor. During the warmer months, they each enjoy floats down the Deschutes River with family and friends, or you can find Ryan and Stuckey kiteboarding in the Gorge, a perfect representation of the balanced (adventurous) lifestyle they advocate through Shift Naturals.

Meet Ryan, a maverick entrepreneur whose zest for life is matched only by his dedication to shaping a more vibrant future. His journey is one of adventure and determination, from riding the waves as a sponsored kiteboarder in his early 20’s to steering companies towards transformative change in emerging markets.
As a former professional kiteboarding coach, Ryan's love for the sport catapulted him into the world of action sports with Best Kiteboarding, where he not only excelled in competition but also mastered the art of international business as he grew to become President of the company. This experience laid the groundwork for what would become a storied career in entrepreneurship as he ventured into the realm of personal mobility and transportation with Inboard Technology. Embracing the challenge of creating an all-new industry, he successfully raised Venture Capital from the world's most elite firms and forged partnerships with transport juggernauts like Daimler Automotive Group (parent: Mercedes-Benz).
Beyond the thrill of sports, Ryan is a trailblazer on rugged ultramarathon paths, a mountain biking enthusiast who finds solace on flow trails, and a snowboarder who carves fresh narratives in steep powder. Ryan’s happiest is in nature; balancing that with traversing both the physical highlands and the metaphorical mountains of starting and scaling businesses.
At Shift Naturals, Ryan merges his athletic discipline with his executive acumen to redefine the boundaries of health and wellness. His vision for the company is as expansive as the great outdoors he cherishes — to provide a beacon of balance in our fast-paced world. When he's not shaping the trajectory of transformative new categories or advocating for a more equitable world, Ryan is a mentor at heart. He dedicates time to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs, sharing insights gleaned from a rich tapestry of experiences that span continents and industries.
Chris Stuckey
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER, AND CO-FOUNDER
Stuckey, as he’s affectionately known among friends and colleagues, is in charge of developing robust and stable operational processes at Shift Naturals. As a teenager, Stuckey excelled in competitive soccer and ice hockey, fostering a lifelong passion for outdoor sports. This experience shaped him into a natural collaborator and leader, blending a playful and engaging demeanor with an engineer’s analytical mindset.
Post college, Stuckey deviated from a traditional engineering career as a professional kiteboarding coach, traveling the world and working with a diverse group of clientele from around the globe. Leaving behind sunny beaches and warm waters, Stuckey founded and created Maritant, a B2B e-commerce platform for marine industry buyers and sellers to connect with technical data. This venture underscored his ability to blend technical expertise with market foresight.
Chris, known for his creative tenacity and extensive project management experience, particularly with Virgin Voyages and Royal Caribbean, brings a unique blend of skills to Shift Naturals. His proficiency in project development, team leadership, and strategic execution, sharpened through managing Royal Caribbean's most complex and costly dry dock projects, is invaluable. At Shift Naturals, he plays a crucial role in driving the company towards greater vertical integration in logistics, production, and operations.
